Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences announced the accreditation of the results of the World Giftedness Center Awards, which include the Applied Research Global Award of Gifted Education and the School Global Award for Gifted Education. Six countries from different regions participated in the Applied Research Global Award of Gifted Education, with a total of six research projects. As for School Global Award for Gifted Education, nine countries participated, presenting a total of 14 initiatives. Two initiatives from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America were among the winning initiatives. It is worth mentioning that the World Giftedness Center Awards were launched simultaneously with the inauguration of the World Giftedness Center in October 2021 during the Expo Dubai 2020 events. The awards aim to support ongoing efforts to create a better educational environment for the gifted worldwide and leverage global expertise and best practices in this field for wider dissemination. The judging process for these awards is conducted by an international arbitration body comprising global experts in these fields. The awards target Ph.D. researchers in the field of gifted education and care, as well as individuals working in schools with initiatives and private projects in the field of gifted education and care. The World Giftedness Center is one of the distinctive initiatives of Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences. It aims to enhance the education and care of gifted individuals, providing necessary support to various countries worldwide. Additionally, it seeks to promote a culture of excellence and its dissemination on a global scale. It's worth noting that the winners will be honored in a grand celebration scheduled for next April.

Four winners were selected to win the awards of the inaugurated cycle of the World Giftedness Centre. Two researchers from the Kingdom of Bahrain and Spain won the 'Applied Research Global Award of Gifted Education', and two schools from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Australia earnt the 'School Global Award Initiative of Gifted Education.' Dr. Jamal Al Mehairi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Secretary General of the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance said: "We are pleased to announce the winners of the World Giftedness Centre Awards 2022, which include the School Global Award Initiative of Gifted Education and the Applied Research Global Award of Gifted Education." "These awards aim to promote best practices and exceptional efforts in the field of giftedness and education and contribute to the development of research in this emerging field thus nurturing, talented people around the world. The awards targeted PhD holders, researchers, in addition to all school personnel who are involved in initiatives and innovative projects that contribute to the development of giftedness around the world." He added. The awards attracted several entries from numerous countries and an international jury composed of elite assessors evaluated each entry. These awards are part of the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance's efforts to support and nurture gifted individuals, advance education, and promote excellence in the field of education, in order to foster graduates to keep up with scientific advancement and achieve sustainable development across all spheres. These results were unveiled by Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance during a press conference, wherein the members of the international jury spoke. Among the speakers is Professor Dr. Abdullah Aljughaiman, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia; in addition to the jury members, Professor Dr. Heidrun Stoeger, Professor for Educational Sciences at the University of Regensburg, Germany; and Dr. Rhoda Myra Garces-Bacsal, Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies for the College of Education at the United Arab Emirates University, UAE. The 'Applied Research Global Award of Gifted Education' drew 9 entries from numerous countries, including 1 entry from the Kingdom of Bahrain, 2 from Egypt, and 4 from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and one each from Spain and Malaysia. On the other hand, the 'School Global Award Initiative of Gifted Education' received 21 entries distributed as follows: 7 from Palestine, 4 from Saudi Arabia, 1 from Jordan, 1 from Germany, 3 from Malaysia, 1 from each Turkey, Korea, Australia, Argentina, and Kenya. Winners The 'Applied Research Global Award of Gifted Education' was won by Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Al-Abbasi from the Kingdom of Bahrain for his research entitled "Are gifted students more emotionally intelligent than their non-gifted peers? A meta-analysis. Also, Mr. Alejandro Veas Iniesta from Spain won for his research entitled "Differences in personal, familial, social, and school factors between underachieving and non-underachieving gifted secondary students." As for the 'School Global Award Initiative of Gifted Education', it was won by Al-Anjal National Schools in Saudi Arabia for the project entitled "MACLE." which reflects Motivate, Accommodate, Care, Lead, and Enrich. Moreover, Sydney Catholic Schools in Australia won this award for the project entitled "Newman Selective Gifted Education Program." The inaugurated cycle of the World Giftedness Centre Awards, which includes the 'School Global Award Initiative of Gifted Education' and the 'Applied Research Global Award of Gifted Education was lunched in conjunction with the inauguration of the World Giftedness Centre in October 2021 at Expo 2020 Dubai. Nominations were received from October 2021 to May 2022. The awards are intended to support and reward exceptional efforts in the field of educating and nurturing the gifted, as well as to promote ongoing initiatives and endeavors to improve the learning environment for gifted people all over the world.

As part of the cooperation between Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences and the United Arab Emirates University, a team from the World Giftedness Center - one of the Foundation's initiatives - participated in the Open Day of the College of Education at the University on Tuesday, October 31st, 2023. The Open Day is aimed at students of the eleventh and twelfth grades to familiarize themselves with the academic departments, specialties, and programs of the College, and it provides an opportunity for local institutions cooperating with the College to introduce and showcase their programs and initiatives directed at students.

From Dubai Global Platform and 2 International Awards to Nurture World Talents. The 1st World Giftedness Center International Conference, organized by the Hamdan Bin Rashed Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences Performance, witnessed the inauguration of the World Giftedness Center (WGC), the first global platform for nurturing the gifted. The conference was held at Expo 2020 Dubai, Dubai Exhibition Centre and online from 18 to 21 October 2021. Attended by more than 700 people from 50 countries, the conference also witnessed the launch of two international awards: the first of which is the "Applied Research Global Award of Gifted Education,' and the second is the 'School Global Award Initiative of Gifted Education. WGC Objectives: 1. Disseminate and encourage a culture of best practices 2. Excel in talent development in the international community 3. At the kind invitation of New York University Abu Dhabi, Dr. Zulaikha Al Blooshi and Ms. Huda Al Hammadi from Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences gave a comprehensive presentation on the Global Talent Mentoring Program at the university's campus, on Wednesday the 04th of October 2023. The presentation concluded with a Q&A session. The visit also included a tour for the Foundation's delegates around the campus. It is worth mentioning that the Global Talent Mentoring Program has more than fifty active partners around the world.
