From Dubai Global Platform and 2 International Awards to Nurture World Talents. The 1st World Giftedness Center International Conference, organized by the Hamdan Bin Rashed Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences Performance, witnessed the inauguration of the World Giftedness Center (WGC), the first global platform for nurturing the gifted. The conference was held at Expo 2020 Dubai, Dubai Exhibition Centre and online from 18 to 21 October 2021. Attended by more than 700 people from 50 countries, the conference also witnessed the launch of two international awards: the first of which is the "Applied Research Global Award of Gifted Education,' and the second is the 'School Global Award Initiative of Gifted Education. WGC Objectives: 1. Disseminate and encourage a culture of best practices 2. Excel in talent development in the international community 3. Share best practices with the global education community for the gifted 4. Establish a global network of research institutions and mentoring centers in gifted education 5. Create an evidence-based informational and organizational center for those involved in developing excellence
